NET 2025: Networks: decomposition, clustering and community detection

The project “PRIN2022 Networks: decomposition, clustering and community detection” addresses the use of the Clique Partitioning (CP) problem, a powerful clustering model for statistical data and network community detection, by developing new formulations, solution methods, and a dedicated software package. It introduces novel ILP models, tailored heuristics, and extensions of CP to handle attributed graphs, multilayer networks, numerical constraints, and game-theoretic stability. The proposed methods are validated on real-world applications, including political alliances, criminal networks, international trade, financial time series, and PNRR-related domains such as circular economy, sustainable agriculture, and social infrastructures.
