Abstract:
In this talk, Dr. Hebert will provide examples of work that he has conducted in the context of clinical trials and observational studies that have led to: the detection of response set biases; the use of “constructs” to validate dietary assessment methods; the development of the dietary inflammatory index (DII®) and its derivatives, most notably the energy-adjusted DII (E-DIITM); and major challenges to global public health that must be faced in the near future.
About the speaker:
Dr. Hebert received his MSPH in environmental health from the University of Washington and his ScD From Harvard University. Currently he is Health Sciences Distinguished Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Director of the Cancer Prevention and Control Program, Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, USA.
